CAS(E) this Sketch 1

Well, I had so much fun with the SSS Challenge I decided to give another one a shot! (I really should be doing errands but I can’t seem to pull myself away from the craft room)

I thought that the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge looked like SO much fun, I just had to give it a shot.

Look at that, isn’t that just so inspiring!? So this is what I ended up making…

Most of the supplies used was from my Studio Calico Card Kit that I just got in. The paper is from SC & the stamp set is from Lawn Fawn (I adore these stamps) The washi tape that I put on the diagonal is from a previous SSS Card Kit (I think)

Anyhow, I started off by laying down the washi tape at a diagonal. Then, I just stamped the light bulb from the stamp set directly onto the patterned paper and cut it out. Popped it up on some dimensional foam adhesive and BAM…instant cuteness.

I then stamped the sentiment ‘you light up my life’ directly onto the card base. I thought I was finished there but realized it was just a little too plain for my taste…it needed SOMETHING. I couldn’t resist breaking out my new Memory Box Mini Hearts Set die and using some scrap card stock I had laying around (I want to say it is American Crafts) to make that cute little hot pink striped heart in the center of the light bulb. Finished it off with some glossy accents and voila…that is my first ever CTS project. Let’s see if I can pull myself away from the craft room or if I’ll find yet another fun & inspiring challenge to try out! 😛
