Play Date Cafe

Hi all! I decided to make a card for The Play Date Cafe color splash. This is my first time playing along and I had so much fun making this card! :]

I masked off the main panel of the card at an angle and used the Flower Medley background stamp by Hero Arts & Basic Grey. I then colored in a few of the flowers using copic markers to give them a nice pop of color. I then used a black marker and my T square ruler to draw a thick black border along the edge and stamped “Always thinking of you” at an angle on the open top portion of the card (I can’t remember the name of the stamp set but it was one I received in a SSS Card Kit I believe.) I adhered some black card stock to the left hand side of the card base and put the stamped/colored image on dimensional adhesive. I’m very happy with the way this card turned out. And I think I will probably end up making some more cards fairly similar to this one in the future. Thanks for stopping by! :]

  1. I like the way you colored only part of the design. That is very effective. And I think anything diagonal is eye-catching. Nice going!
