I messed up and don’t like the edit option on wordpress…(or I just can’t figure it out :P) so this is a continuation of my previous post…

CAS on Sunday

My birthday card stash is very low so for this week’s CAS on Sunday challenge sketch I decided to make a Birthday card. I went for a more masculine theme since His and Hers online class just finished up and masculine cards are not my strong suit.

Image

I used kraft as the card base and inked it up slightly with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink (I also did this on all the patterned paper pieces as well) I some patterned paper from My Mind’s Eye Sunshine 6×6 Paper Pad, after inking up the edges I adhered both sheets directly to the card base. The plaid-like piece I cut at an angle and I rounded the bottom corners of the text paper. I then stamped stars from two different stamp sets, Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments, and Simon Says Stamp Shoot For The Stars in Memories Unicorn Pigment Ink and stamped over the image slightly offset in both Butter Bar and Tide Pool Hero Arts Shadow Inks. I did the same for the Happy Birthday sentiment from Studio Calico and Hero Arts (I got this set in one of my card kits, and I can’t find the name anywhere on the packaging…) And that was it…Hope you enjoyed :]

His & Hers and just for fun

So I am participating in the His & Hers Online Card Classes which is AMAZING! I have a very difficult time with masculine cards (like a lot of other crafters/card makers apparently) so I decided to make a His & Her birthday card since my Birthday card stash is VERY LOW!!

I used the same sketch for both the masculine and feminine card and kept both very true to my original idea.

For the masculine card I used paper from the Basic Grey Oxford 6×6 paper pad and a cute little ticket stub die cut that I got in one of my card kits. I inked all of the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink. I stamped the sentiment “Lotsa Birthday Wishes” from a Studio Calico (I think) stamp set onto the ticket stub in Red Royal Shadow Ink. Popped the sentiment up on some dimensional adhesive and scattered a few metal stars along the card front. I’m very happy with the way this card turned out.

For the feminine version of this card, I used patterned paper from My Mind’s Eye Happy Day 6×6 paper pad and a die cut pink and white talk bubble that I received (and hoarded away) from one of my card kits. I cut up and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments Stamp Set in Tide Pool shadow ink. I also popped the talk bubble/sentiment up on dimensional adhesive and scattered pearls across the card front.

Now, I have on more card to share. This is one I made for my boyfriend (and accidentally ruined) so I remade it because it’s just too darn cute/funny not to remake it. I used a Unity Stamp set for this card, and just a few copic markers and some glossy accents for the glass part of the glasses (it’s hard to tell in the photo but it is so adorable adding that bit of shine!)

CAS(E) this Sketch & Muse Challenge

For the CAS(E) this sketch challenge I instantly knew I wanted to use the stamp set that I just recently got in from Unity Stamp Company. And I knew I wanted to pull some of the colors from this weeks Muse. So I used the yellow and blue tones from that and combined it with the sketch from CAS(E) this sketch.

I just did some very simple copic coloring, I am not very good nor do I have many markers and since I am in the process of moving half of my supplies are in a storage unit (including my colorless blender) so I had a bit of a tough time.

I used staz on jet black ink to stamp the sentiment onto the vellum and wrapped it around the front panel.

I used Hero Arts Tide Pool and Soft Pool shadow ink to stamp the clouds. Rounded the top right corner of the panel that has the main image stamped on it and popped it up on some foam adhesive.

10 Minute Craft Dash & SSS Challenge

I decided to play along at 10 Minute Craft Dash The colors are just GORGEOUS! ❤ They make me so happy and smiley! :]

I am also playing along over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog and this week the challenge is Happy Mail!

I did the best I could with the supplies I have on hand. As I mentioned in a previous post I’m staying at my boyfriend’s house for a month before we move into the new apartment and a lot of my crafting supplies are in storage…I have JUST ENOUGH to get by 😛 haha

I decided to use a craft card base and Studio Calico’s Sundrifter 6×6 paper pad. Luckily the colors used in this collection are very close to those of this challenge. In this paper pad they have a sheet that has some cute little sayings on them and I thought this square that reads ‘You are lovely’ was just perfect! I used a fiskars border punch to create the scalloped edge on the pink/coral piece of paper and then cut it in half. I then white heat embossed those tiny adorable hearts from Simon Says Stamp Best Mom Ever stamp set. Popped the greeting up on some dimensional adhesive, rounded the top right hand corner and added some dash lines along the outside of the card base and that was it! I was able to finish just in time! :]

And…here is my card. I like this one a lot better than my 1st attempt at this challenge, enjoy! :]

Thanks so much for stopping by! ❤

It has been a crazy week!

Finally, I am all packed and completely out of my apartment and am now staying at my boyfriend’s house until we can move into the new place!! Only one more month to go! :] So that’s why I haven’t posted for a while, I have been extremely busy.

I don’t have ALL of my crafting supplies at my boyfriend’s house but I do have enough to get me by so I can still craft while I’m staying here. So, I figured now would be a good time to just post a bunch ofphotos of some cards I made this past week and a few from the week before that, that I hadn’t gotten around to posting yet. So I won’t go into any details about them really since I’m actually trying to get what supplies I do have here and organize so I can craft! -SQUEAL!-

The inside of this card reads “You’re Egg-cellent” I made this card today. My boyfriend made me breakfast in bed this morning and it was just really sweet of him considering he had to be into work so early :]

This is the card I made for my boyfriend’s Mom to give her for Mother’s Day.

This card I created for my best friend Ashley. It is custom ordered for her Mom. She needed a Birthday/Mother’s Day card combined. The criteria she gave me was pink, blue and green pastels, daisies, and glitter :]

And this is just a fun card I made…I just love cute cards like this. :] I’m sure whoever receives this card will have a smile on their face when they read it.

Alright, I’m off to organize a little and get some crafting in! Hopefully I’ll be back later today with some more posts. I’m hoping to do some challenges since it’s been a while and I had SO much fun with the other challenges I did! 😀 ❤ ❤

Massive Mother’s Day Post

Hey there! It’s been a few days…I’ve been busy packing up my apartment and staying at my boyfriend’s house, which soon I will be doing for an entire month before we move into the new place.

I made a few Mother’s Day cards earlier this week but haven’t had the time to post them yet. So I figured I would share them with you now. You’ll have to forgive me, I may not be able to list all of the supplies since I’m not home & in my craft room at the moment, but I will do my best from memory (and thank goodness for google!)

So, a lady my boyfriend works with saw a few photos of some cards I made for my Mom and Grammy for Mother’s Day and she told him to let me know that she wanted to buy a few cards from me for Mother’s day. I’ve met her a few times and I know she has two sons so I thought this would be a really cute card for them to give to their Grandmother. I did some very simple coloring with copic markers using the Lawn Fawn Love ‘n Breakfast stamp set and the patterned paper is from Basic Grey Paper Cottage 6×6 paper pad. I also used the SSS Small Folded Banners die. On the inside of the card it reads ‘Happy Mother’s Day’

She also purchased two other cards from me, one to give to her mother and one to give to her boyfriend’s mother. This card, I used a background stamp that I believe is from Hero Arts and clear heat embossed it on some white card stock. I then used distress inks to blend the background with (I think) Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn. When I was happy with the way it looked I I set it aside and used some scrap white card stock I had lying around to once again blend using the same colors and cut out some hearts using the SSS Mini Hearts Set die. I cut a strip of vellum and white heat embossed the sentiment ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ from (I think) a Hero Art’s stamp set. (I can’t remember) I then used some clear dimensional adhesive for the little hearts & some glossy accents

Image

The 3rd card she purchased was this sweet little daisy card. I just hand blended the background with some distress ink (I’m pretty sure the colors I used were spun sugar, picked raspberry & spiced marmalade) I used a sticker I’ve had in my stash for AGES, and white heat embossed the same Happy Mother’s Day sentiment as all of the other cards.

Image

Now this card my own Mother bought (I swear I told her I’d just give it to her lol) for my Grammy. I just love this card. The colors are so beautiful and match so well together. All the paper is from the same 6×6 paper pad but I don’t know the name of it at the moment. I love how the ‘o’ in mom is made up of flowers that also match the paper (coincidentally) I used the ‘You’ die and stamp set from SSS (I don’t know the true name, sorry!)

This card, I made for my Grammy…& I can’t wait for her to get it in the mail. I know she’ll love it. I used distress inks to blend the background and used a sticker from a sheet I’ve had for a while now. I can’t get enough of that beautiful cherry blossom branch! I white heat embossed the same Mother’s Day Sentiment and scattered a few pearls along the card to tie in the pearls that are on some of the flowers.

This is the card I made for my own Mom. It reminds me of a polaroid. I clear heat embossed the background (again I’m not sure what the background stamp is but I believe it is from Hero Arts) and blended with distress inks (I think the colors I used were picked raspberry and peacock feathers) I used the same Happy Mother’s day sentiment as the other cards, but this time I used Hero Arts Tide Pool or it may have been Soft Pool shadow ink, definitely one of those two! 😛

So, I have those posted but I think I’ll take a break for now and leave it at that. I have some more cards to share but I’ll be back later to update again. Hope everyone had a nice weekend! ❤
