I just realized

It has been over a year since I’ve last posted on this blog, and I’d like to get back into the swing of things. A lot has happened in the past year, and more changes are coming soon but one thing that has remained the same has been my love for paper crafting. And although I haven’t devoted as much time to crafting as I once did this past year, I’d like to make it a priority in my life once again, and I think one way of doing that is to get this blog back up and running, and better than it ever was before.

With that said, I’d like to start this post off with some cards I’ve made more recently. And when I say more recently, I use the term loosely…but I have just now gotten around to photographing them and sharing them with anyone aside from Nick.

Enjoy! 😀

HappyEasterStripes

I know, I know, Easter was FOR-EV-ER ago…but c’mon, this Easter card is just way too cute not to share. So simple, with the mint green stripes and little flower cluster that I used my wink of stella brush on, and those perfect little enamel dots. I just couldn’t resist posting this.

Can you see a common theme with these last two cards? I just love this adorable Simon Says Stamp set.

Well, if anyone is actually reading this, I hope you enjoyed it. I’ll be back soon with some more cards. 🙂

Gettin’ inky!

Hi there! Just thought I’d share a few cards with you. I’ve been busy packing (3 whole boxes finished…woohoo!)

This first card I thought it would be really pretty to blend together Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn (are these the right names? I’m not in my crafting room at the moment) And then I saw this beautiful white ribbon laying out on my desk and thought it would make such a pretty contrast to the background, so I wrapped it around the card front and tied it in a bow. I then heat embossed the sentiment ‘Happy Anniversary’ from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings stamp set. (It’s been sitting out on my desk and it really does have perfect sentiments/fonts) and that was that!

This 2nd card is just so bright and cheerful. I thought it would be lovely paired with this beautiful floral paper from American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan 6×6 paper pad (I’ve been using this paper pad A LOT lately) which I cut into a banner shape, It may be hard to tell from the photo but it had the same shades of yellow, pink and orange. It also has bits of a very light baby blue that goes perfectly with the sentiment ‘hi’ that I used foam Thickers for. I just topped it off with a few small white pearls and called it good! :]

And, here is just a fun little card I made for my boyfriend. The inside reads ‘I love you’

The story behind this card is I had actually bought this stamp set from Lawn Fawn (again, I’m not in my craft room, so please correct me if I’m wrong) to make cards for my boyfriend, we both LOVE breakfast! Well the other morning we were both too lazy to cook breakfast before he had to leave for work so I made him this cute little card in lieu of a real breakfast. :]

Hope you enjoyed! Have a great day!!
