This Thinking of you card is very similar to one I posted earlier today, however this one does not have any dimension. I used patterned paper from Studio Calico’s Snippets 6×6 paper pad and stamped the houndstooth/tweed background at an angle masking off the top portion of the card. I used Hero Arts Everyday Sayings stamp set to stamp the sentiment “Thinking of you”
For this sympathy card I wanted to keep it fairly gender neutral. Even though there are flowers on the card I think you could give this to a male or female or a couple since the flowers are cut from plain white card stock. I used the same Hero Arts Everyday Sayings stamp set with the sentiment “Sorry for your loss” I cut two strips of paper from My Mind’s Eye Sunshine 6×6 paper pad that reads as a solid but has a very subtle lattice pattern to it. The bottom portion of the card is embossed with an embossing folder (forgive me…I work in chaos and can’t seem to find it at the moment) and the flowers are from Memory Box Prim Poppy & a Memory Box & Simon Says Stamp Fresh Daisies die cuts.
Hi all! I decided to make a card for The Play Date Cafe color splash. This is my first time playing along and I had so much fun making this card! :]
I masked off the main panel of the card at an angle and used the Flower Medley background stamp by Hero Arts & Basic Grey. I then colored in a few of the flowers using copic markers to give them a nice pop of color. I then used a black marker and my T square ruler to draw a thick black border along the edge and stamped “Always thinking of you” at an angle on the open top portion of the card (I can’t remember the name of the stamp set but it was one I received in a SSS Card Kit I believe.) I adhered some black card stock to the left hand side of the card base and put the stamped/colored image on dimensional adhesive. I’m very happy with the way this card turned out. And I think I will probably end up making some more cards fairly similar to this one in the future. Thanks for stopping by! :]
So here is a card I made just because.
I love this gorgeous patterned paper from My Mind’s Eye Moments 6×6 pad. Like I mentioned before I just got in some ink blending tools so I couldn’t resist inking up this beautiful yellow flowered paper.
I really wanted the paper to take center stage so I kept it simple and only added the folded banner die from Simon Says Stamp with the ‘thinking of you’ sentiment from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings stamp set. Scattered just a few yellow enamel dots, rounded the top corner over the fold and that was that.
Hey there! Today I decided to attempt my first Simon Says Stamp Challenge.
This week is April showers and/or Spring flowers showcasing Hero Arts.
I decided to go with flowers because I’ve just been loving the new-to-me American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapalitan 6×6 paper pad that I was lucky enough to find on sale a few weeks ago at Target. I used the sentiment ‘thinking of you’ from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings stamp set and white heat embossed it on kraft card stock. All patterned paper is from the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapalitan 6×6 paper pad that I mentioned before. To make the paper bow I used the My Favorite Things Die-namics Dainty Bow die and for the scalloped border I used the Fiskars Scalloped Edge Border Punch
I haven’t quite had time yet to sit down and look into learning Inlinkz so I can add all of my supplies yet but once I am able to do that I will update this post (if I can figure out how)
Anyways, thanks for stopping by! I had a blast making this card! :]
